I did not know that any unions had stood up for its members, outside of Red. So kudos to them, I’m generally not a fan of the modern unions, (they appear quite corrupt, have a disproportionate influence vis a vis proportion of workforce that is unionised) but saw the need for them after I read the Ragged Trousered Philanthropist many decades ago.
Side note, what happens after the Victorian election ? Time will tell
The key word is 'relatively'. As an occasional public transport user, the mandated mask really bugs me as a reminder that the nuttiness hasn't really subsided in ol' Adelaide but I gather that the mask lunacy is far worse in the ACT (I worked in the Commonwealth Department of Health for three decades in Canberra and am quite glad by the sounds of it that I retired a decade ago and moved back to Adelaide and left the benighted Canberra Covid hell-hole behind me).
Robert Tressell's book was, indeed, a beauty. I read it ages ago and have fond memories of it (and of the unions of old that it describes).
I find your posts quite optimistic and this one more so. Unfortunately for me, I jumped onto a Twitter link someone sent me about the masks in Victorian transport. What shocked me was the level of support for the policy. Glad I’m not a regular Twitter visitor.
Excellent and comprehensive takedown once again of Covid nonsense. Alas, vaccine mandates are still in place in some workplaces, facemask mandates here and there, and so on. The betrayal of the so-called left continues, but there are very important fightbacks ongoing, as you mention. If it wasn't for that we would be in a dark place.
There's one advantage to the remnant of COVID hysterics who desperately cling to their face nappy talismans and social distancing voodoo - it's a fantastic heuristic for discerning which people are not worth talking to, and which businesses shouldn't be patronised.

Perhaps a book from you? I guess the question(s) now is what is the extent of harm of the jabs? All cause mortality is way up right across the vaxxed world and the jabbed are getting sick from Covid and many other things frequently. The “news” tells us of the overburdened hospitals but is elusive as to the why. Weren’t we all getting the magic juice to PREVENT hospitals from being overrun? Chalk it up. Contradiction #488. Wow, a book! Thanks for your vote of confidence but I think I know my limits (i.e. Substack posts). There are a lot of other Covid dissidents out there who are much more capable of doing the book thing.
Now, music - that takes real creative skill, so congrats on your album (good to see something positive arising from the Covid wreckage). A liitle too contemporary for my taste (which runs to the Fab Four, the Who and Creedence) and, whilst I blow a few blues riffs on the harmonica, I would never dare put them up even on YouTube.
Yes, the damage from the jabs is going to be THE issue for a while yet. The dam will have to burst on that, eventually, one would think.
